    3 Things To Know Today

    Hello, ‘Halo’

    If half your classroom is empty today, it might be because students are engrossed in a marathon of the much-awaited video game “”Halo 3,”” released yesterday. Analysts predict that the game’s sales will surpass that of “”Halo 2,”” which grossed a record $125 million on its day of release.

    Volunteer fair

    The 10,000 Hours Show kicks off tomorrow with a volunteer fair on the UA Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event also marks the opening of registration on the show’s Web site, http://10kuora.org.

    Refugees speak up

    Voices of Darfur, a national tour that promotes awareness of the ongoing genocide in Darfur, is passing through the UA tonight. The event will feature Darfuri refugees speaking of their first-hand experiences at the Hillel building, 1245 E. Second St. from 6-8.
