The Daily Wildcat team went to cover Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s immigration policy speech at the Phoenix Convention Center this evening, but was stopped while entering the rally’s press area and escorted from the building.
The reporters, who had already passed through media check in and had been credentialed, were offered no explanation as to why they were removed from the press area.
When pressed for why they were being removed after seemingly being on the campaign’s approved list of media, a campaign official only offered, “Well, you’re not on my list.”
