    3 things to know today

    Calling Arizona Ambassadors

    The Office of Admissions is looking for students to be campus tour guides as Arizona Ambassadors. Ambassadors, who are paid student employees, also take prospective UA students to class and present at recruitment events. Applications are available at the campus tours desk, located on the lower level of the UofA Bookstore.

    Men get shaved today

    Thirty UA men will get shaved today at the James E. Rogers Stage north of the Student Union Memorial Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The students were selected by online votes as part of the Neutrogena Shave His Face competition. The students will be shaved by professional barbers in a mock old-school setting.

    Long-lasting milk

    U.S. researchers found a way to kill harmful bacteria in milk while increasing shelf life in a Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry study for Nov. 29. Putting foods under extreme pressure crushes and kills bacteria and leaves the food with a fresh taste, according to researchers at Oregon State University.
