Always creepin’

A University of Arizona Police Department officer was called to the UA Main Library in reference to a man that was harassing student employees on Nov. 3.

The officer learned that the subject had been previously contacted by UAPD multiple times for sleeping on campus and following a female student to the Student Union Memorial Center.

Library personnel told UAPD that the man had been in the library staring at female employees while they were working for the past three days.

According to UAPD, the man would sometimes intentionally spread his legs in a female employee’s direction while he stared at her and one evening, began making strange gestures with his hands toward staff and covering his face.

When library staff informed the man of university policies, the man denied any inappropriate behavior, became agitated and upset, but said he understood.

Reports stated that the man was advised of an exclusionary order if his behavior continued. When police made contact with the man, he became argumentative and asked “What did I do?”

When officers told the man he would receive an exclusionary order, the man argued and said he had intended to sue the people that were falsely accusing him.

The man was provided a copy of the exclusionary order, photographed and escorted off campus by UAPD. 

Oh puck, another drunk student 

A UAPD officer was driving in the parking lot of the Arizona Sonora Residence Hall when the officer noticed a woman sitting on the sidewalk vomiting at approximately 1:30 a.m on Nov. 1.

When the officer made contact with the student, she identified herself and kept repeating that she ate Illegal Pete’s and began describing the contents of her vomit.

The officer could detect the odor of alcohol come from the student’s breath as she spoke and had a noticeable slur in her speech, according to police.

The student told police she had drank five or six shots of alcohol at the “hockey party by the Arizona Inn.”

The student said she didn’t need medical attention, but was diverted to the Dean of Students for a minor in possession of alcohol. The student was left in the care of her boyfriend.
