    Innoworks looking for volunteers

    Innoworks, a summer program dedicated to fostering the love of science and engineering in under-served middle school students, is looking for UA students to volunteer this summer.     Thirsty Thursdays

    $1 beers and Randy Johnson. Enough said, right? Thirsty Thursdays are back at Tucson Electric Park with $1 beers for the first two hours of the game. To add to the deal, the Tucson Sidewinders are sending Johnson, the Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher, to the mound for his second rehab start.

    Study questions ethanol’s clean-air claims

    Increased ethanol use could lead to more ground-level ozone that could pose a greater health risk than gasoline, according to a study published yesterday in Environmental Science and Technology. The study said an increase in the use of a form of ethanol called E85 would lead to a 4 percent increase in ozone-related deaths.
