In response to “Best new artist goes to the best new loser”:
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Caroline Nachazel’s article on the travesty that was Tyler, the Creator, winning best new artist. While I am disgusted that an overgrown child could win such a large award, this is not surprising considering this year’s VMAs’ including Lil Wayne spewing an inaudible growl for two minutes following his hit song “How to Love” and Nicki Minaj showing up dressed in something that a self-respecting pre-schooler wouldn’t wear. I understand award shows like this aren’t supposed to be black tie affairs; however it would behoove some of these artists to represent themselves in a better fashion. Artists such as Wiz Khalifa and Jay-Z showed up looking like hip hop stars, and represented themselves as such.
