Arizona freshman Lindsey Sisk (3-1) pitched 12 innings of shutout softball in her two wins over then-No. 10 Baylor and Long Island last weekend in the Palm Springs Classic in Cathedral City, Calif., while yielding no walks. The Arizona Daily Wildcat caught up with Sisk yesterday to talk about her fast start, what music she likes and the cute guys on the football and baseball teams.

Wildcat: How good did it feel to get out there and show these Division I teams you are capable of competing with the best?
Sisk: It is really cool because I have always wanted to play at this level and doing well is exciting.

W: What do you learn from Taryne Mowatt?
S: I learn what being a college athlete is all about, what to expect and I just learn what pitches to throw in certain situations and just experience.

W: What’s the difference between high school and college softball?
S: The hitters are better. It is just a whole different level.

W: What’s the difference between high school and college practice?
S: College practice is much more intense than high school.

W: What is your favorite kind of music?
    S: Country.

W: What’s your favorite band or singer?
S: I have a lot. Probably Carrie Underwood and I like to listen to Shania Twain.

W: Is Carrie Underwood the best “”American Idol”” winner?
    S: Yes.

    W: Better than Ruben Studdard?
    S: I would think so.

W: I disagree. But moving forward, what’s your favorite color?
    S: Blue.

W: What’s your favorite TV show?
S: “”One Tree Hill.”” I love it. It started off like high school kids and then went into college and there are a lot of hot guys on the show.

W: Who’s hot on the show?
S: Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty.

W: Which are cuter, football guys or baseball guys?
S: They are both hot. It just
    depends.

    W: What’s your favorite movie?
    S:“”The Notebook.””

W: I like “”The Notebook,”” is that weird?
    S: Nope.

W: What would you do for a Klondike Bar?
S: Klondike Bar? What is that?
