Top 5 picks of the week

This seems to be the weekend for ridiculously dumb movies. Seriously, these are your choices: a breakdancing comedian, a future-seeing megastar or a mass-murdering wrestler. Thankfully, a ghostly thriller and a special event come to our rescue.

    “”The Invisible””

Boo! Wouldn’t it suck to be dead, stuck on Earth and invisible to everyone? Ask the main
character of this film how it feels.

    “”Fight Club””

See the soon-to-be classic flick along with a Q&A session with its screenwriter. Admission is only $5 for this special event put on by the UA English department and The Loft Cinema starting at 8 p.m. Friday.

    “”The Condemned””

Admit it: At one point, you liked professional wrestling. Our old favorite, “”Stone Cold”” Steve Austin, stars in this action flick where death row inmates are thrown into a free-for-all to the death.

    “”Next””

Nicolas Cage stars with Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel in this thriller. Cage’s character is able to see into the future, but the superpower isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Oh yeah, this one features terrorists and nuclear bomb threats, too.

    “”Kickin’ It Old Skool””

There’s not much more to this movie other than Jamie Kennedy breakdancing. Kennedy’s character is a former childhood dancer who awakens from a coma to pick up his dancing passion.
