“Sidewinders shed Tucson, mascot”

Journalism major Rodney Haas, undercover as his alter ego Sandy the Sidewinder, panhandles for cash and pity on the median of Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue last Thursday. Sandy is the mascot for Tucson’s Triple-A baseball team, who played their final game last Monday at Tucson Electric Park. The team will move to Reno for the 2009 season.
