There’s a lot of “”sports”” that ESPN is televising now, like all the competitive eating and the World Series of Poker. What are your thoughts on that?
I don’t really watch them. I don’t think they’re that interesting really. It’s kind of retarded I guess. (Laughs) I don’t really know.
Which one, competitive eating or poker?
Eating I guess. I don’t see how that can be a sport.
Well which is more of a sport in your eyes? Either way, you’re sitting there and not doing much.
Yeah. Well I guess poker playing would be more of a sport than eating. I don’t know, that’s actually pretty tough to say for sure. (Laughs)
Well, there’s actual physical movement involved with the eating.
Yeah, that is true.
Poker it’s kind of just the luck of the draw.
Yeah, I guess I’ll say eating then because it’s more of a skill, really. Poker is more like, “”What kind of face are you wearing and how long do you keep it that way,”” you know? (Laughs)
If you have any advice to give potential professional eaters, what would you say to them?
Um, not really. I’m a student, you’ve got to remember that. I don’t have money to practice eating a whole lot. (Laughs)
