HALFTIME: No. 1 Arizona 28, Washington State 7

No. 1 Arizona opened up Pac-12 play with a dominating first half of men’s basketball, to lead Washington State 28-7.

The UA shot 35 percent from the field, while holding the Cougars to 10 percent. The Wildcats forced 11 turnovers, had five steals and three blocks.

WSU finally made a field goal with 6:42 left in the first, a lay up by Royce Woolridge. They had two in the entire half.

Sophomore center Kaleb Tarczewski returned from the ankle injury he suffered at Michigan to lead the Wildcats in scoring, with nine points. He also collected three rebounds.

Junior guards Nick Johnson and T.J. McConnell each had six points.
