The Arizona men’s basketball team took down the North Carolina State Wolfpack 72-62 Sunday in Raleigh, N.C., behind 22 points from forward Derrick Williams.

Leading 36-32 at halftime, the Wildcats (10-2) wore down the Wolfpack (6-4) from the Atlantic Coast Conference, forcing them into late turnovers and poor shooting to get away with shooting 4-for-18 from 3-point range.

Arizona shot 45 percent from the field and an accurate 24-for-30 from the foul stripe to keep control of the game throughout. They also held Wolfpack guard Lorenzo Brown scoreless after his 14-points first half.

The Wolfpack shot 33 percent for the game.

Receiving a shot in the arm from forward Jesse Perry in the second half, Arizona built upon their four-point halftime lead. Perry finished with 10 points and led the team with seven rebounds.

Reserve Kevin Parrom continued his strong play for Arizona, as he chipped in 11 points off the bench.

Wolfpack forward Scott Wood led his team with 16 points.
