Arizona leads Pacific 10 Conference rival Washington after the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Boulder City, Nev. Aiding her team’s cause is freshman Sherlyn Popelka, who is currently tied for the overall lead and after two rounds is at 138. She is tied with Sara-Maude Jeneau of Louisville.
The Wildcats hold a team score of 578 after shooting 284 in the first round and 294 in the second.
Sophomore Isabelle Boineau comes in second for Arizona with a 146 overall score, placing her in a tie for 12th place in the tournament. Sophomores Margarita Ramos, who came in two shots behind Boineau, and Nikki Koller, who finished at 149, came in third and fourth places for Arizona.
