Deadline to run in GPSC elections Friday at noon
For graduate or professional students seeking elected positions in the Graduate and Professional Student Council, the deadline to apply for candidacy is tomorrow at noon.
The elected positions include president, vice president, three at-large representatives and 23 constituency representatives.
The constituency representatives are elected by members of their specific colleges or degree programs, but voting for the other positions is open to all graduate and professional students.
Elections are Monday through March 31, and all professional and graduate students can vote at www.gpsc.arizona.edu.
Guest speaker to discuss human trafficking
The UA Campus Greens will be hosting a free guest lecture this evening in the Student Union Memorial Center.
“”Forgotten Girls: Regional Trafficking in the U.S. and Elsewhere”” will feature speaker Tim Jefferson from the Arizona League to end Regional Trafficking, to discuss the problem of human trafficking, particularly of women, for forced labor and prostitution.
This is a free event and will be held in the SUMC Tubac Room from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
