LAS VEGAS — Arizona men’s basketball will face Colorado in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday, as the Buffaloes defeated Washington State 80-56 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wildcats, the No. 4 seed in the tournament, lost to No. 5 seed Colorado in Boulder two weeks ago.

In that game, Colorado’s All-Pac-12 senior forward Josh Scott went for 26 points and nine rebounds.

It was sharpshooter George King who led the Buffaloes in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament on Wednesday, scoring 21 points fueled by a pair of 3-pointers.

Colorado raced off to an early first half lead against the Cougars and led 41-22 at halftime. The Buffaloes expanded their lead in the second half by going 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Tip-off between Arizona and Colorado is listed for 3:40 p.m. MST and will be aired on Pac-12 Networks.
