Seminar today a part of public health series
The seminar “”Kashmir After the Earthquake: Assessing Human Need”” will be held today from noon to 1 p.m. in Drachman Hall, Room A114.
The seminar is part of the “”Engaging Our Communities”” Public Health Seminar Series, a selection of one-hour presentations bringing together experts from Arizona and around the nation to discuss significant public health issues.
The series is sponsored by Partners in Public Health.
The seminar speaker is Christine Krikliwy, a doctoral candidate at the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health.
Chicano/Hispano Student Affairs to hold workshops for stress management
Today there will be events put on by the Chicano/Hispano Student Affairs to assist students with schoolwork and college life.
A stress management workshop by a massage therapist, a Spanish literature, language and culture tutor and other resources will be available from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
There will also be events tomorrow and Friday.
All events will take place in the C/HAS resource lounge in the CǸsar E. Chǭvez building, Room 211. Stop by or call 621-5627 for more information and specific times.
Spots still open for Lute Olson lunch, tournament
Openings are still available for the Lute Olson celebrity auction, lunch and golf tournament, which will take place April 27-29.
The Southern Arizona Home Builders Assocation has teamed up Olson to raise money for research at the Arizona Arthritis Center and the UA College of Medicine.
The auction on April 27 costs $25 per person and is at the Student Union Memorial Center. The “”Lunch with Lute”” on April 28 is $100 per person, but there are group discounts available. The golf tournament on April 29 is $200 per golfer with discounts available depending on group size.
