Peak’d professor
Sternberg Peak, located in Antarctica’s Nebraska Peaks Range, is now named after Ben K. Sternberg, a UA mining and geological engineering professor. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names recently anoined the peak to honor the professor’s expeditionary work and research on the frigid continent. Sternberg said he has yet to visit his peak.
