Arizona WBB’s Sam Thomas named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

On Thursday, it was announced that Arizona women’s basketball forward Sam Thomas was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. Thomas earned the distinction for district eight with a 4.0 GPA in Educational Leadership.

Thomas is no stranger to awards in her career. Last year, she was the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, an Elite 90 award winner and she was named a CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-American. In 2019, she was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. 

This year, Thomas was the winner of the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup. Recently, she was named a finalist for the Senior CLASS award. Fans can vote for Thomas or whoever they think the winner should be at the Senior CLASS Award website.
