    3 things to know today

    Watch out for snakes

    Three rattlesnake bites have been reported to the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center at the UA this month, with the warmer weather ushering in snake season. If bitten, call poison control at 1-800-222-1222.

    CO2 much?

    Researchers at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced they have developed a new system to track carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere. The information could help to determine future climate change and possible methods of reducing the release of the gas.

    Global apartheid lecture

    Joseph Nevins from Vassar College will present a lecture on “”Global Apartheid: International Mobility, Migrant Vulnerability, the U.S.-Mexico Boundary and Beyond”” today in the Harvill building, Room 101, at 4 p.m. Nevins, an assistant professor of environmental studies, researches territorial and social boundaries, human rights, imperialismand the U.S.-Mexico border.
