It is that time of year again — summer is over, school is back in session and cross country season is about start.
The cross country season only consists of a handful of actual meets, but runners train most days of the week, running roughly 80 miles throughout the week.
Arizona’s first meet, the George Kyle Classic, is Saturday in Flagstaff, Ariz., at 1 p.m. It will be the Wildcats’ first step toward nationals in November.
“I’m looking forward to making it to Nationals this year,” said junior Stephanie Bulder. “The team looks really good this year. Everyone has been improving, and the new girls look really good too. Maybe we can even make it onto the podium this year.”
