    “BRIEF: Bicyclist, struck by vehicle, airlifted to Harborview Hospital”

     

    A man who was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Olympia on Saturday was flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was hit in the 3900 block of Martin Way Northeast, according to Olympia police.

    About 10 a.m.Olympia Police and Fire department medics responded to the crash. The man was found unconscious and was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital, then to Harborview. The bicyclist didn’t have identification but is thought to be in his 30s to early 40s, Sgt. Dan Wojtech said. The driver and a passenger remained at the scene, he said, and the driver also was treated for a minor injury.

    The accident remains under investigation.
