Your wallet may be taking a serious hit at the pump, but you’ve got a lot less to complain about than, well, anyone else in the United States.
According to the Associated Press, Tucson now has the cheapest gas prices in the entire country, with an average of $3.82 per gallon of regular unleaded. (San Francisco drivers shelled out the most, at $4.53 a gallon.)
That’s all well and good, but as any driver notices, gas station prices dip sharply up and down across town – and in an economy like ours, even a few cents per gallon can make a dent in your daily budget, especially for a student.
Fortunately, the Internet, as usual, comes to the rescue. For a frequently updated guide to the best gas prices in Tucson, go to www.tucsongasprices.com. (If you’re not in Tucson, check out mother site www.gasbuddy.com.) At press time, the cheapest gas in Tucson was $3.73 a gallon at Arco, at 7601 E. Tanque Verde Road and N. Dos Hombres Road.
