  • Transgender documentary. “”Toilet Training”” will be screened as part of Transgender Awareness Week. This short documentary about bathroom use and gender space needs of the transgender community will be followed by a question-and-answer session led by Dean Spade. Noon. SUMC, Gallagher Theater

Part of Transgender Awareness Week, “”Facing Trans: Empowerment, Advocacy and Inclusion”” will teach you to be a leader in improving how your department and office can identify needs, include invisible populations, advocate effectively for transgender needs and empower campus community members to feel engaged and equal. 1:30 p.m. SUMC, Picacho Room
  • Lecture. Presented by the department of French and Italian, David Lepoutre will present “”On the Streets of Paris: Youth Culture in the Parisian Banlieue.”” Lepoutre’s lecture will address the urban street culture of Parisian youths in the banlieue, including language, use of space and social interactions. 3:30 p.m. Meinel Optical Sciences building, Room 408
