    Men’s golf in third after day two of tournament

    After round two from Omni Tucson National Golf Course, the No. 38 Wildcats remain in third place.

    They are tied for third place with No. 45 Texas Christian.

    Playing for the Wildcats are juniors Henry Liaw, Josh Esler, Nathan Tyler, sophomore Travis Esway and freshman Nick Park. The Arizona ‘B’ team, composed of sophomore Trey Denton, juniors Brian Prouty and Mark Lamb, and freshman Ben Fox, is currently tied for sixth place with a two-round score of 1-over-par.

    The top individual finishers for the Wildcats so far are Denton and Esway, both tied for 14th place.

    Leading the tournament is No. 5 UCLA with a combined score of 13-under-par. No. 9 ASU is in second place with a combined score of 12-under-par.

    Denton shot a second-round score of one-under-par and is two-under-par for the tournament overall.

    Esway shot a second round score of three-under-par, the best round for the Wildcats for round two. He is also at two-under-par for the tournament.

    Also, sophomore Billy Whalen, playing as an individual, is tied for 14th place.

    The tournament concludes tomorrow with round three.
