What did you do over winter break?

I went home to Washington state. I got home and saw all my friends that are coming back from different countries and states. I celebrated Christmas, which was pretty laid back, because I didn’t spend Christmas with my extended family. This year it was just my brother, my mom, my dad and I and usually it’s three different families together. I also worked a lot, which was no fun. But I did have fun with friends and visiting a lot of people.

How was the weather in Washington this past winter?

I got stuck in a snowstorm and in floods. It was seven feet over flood level where I live. We almost had to sandbag our house.

You mentioned that you had to work over break. Where did you work?

I work for an insurance agency in downtown Seattle. I am just a receptionist, but I do a lot more than that. It’s eventful.

Since your major involves singing, what do you plan on doing after you graduate?

I don’t know if singing is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life. It involves so much traveling, it involves not having a family and it involves not seeing your friends a lot. You are always on the go and pretty much living out of your suitcase. I don’t think it’s the sort of thing for me. I would like to transfer to another school and minor in marine biology or do an out-of-country program involving singing or something of the sort.
