Tucsonans and visitors were treated to the passion and resonance of Tucson’s first Spanish and Flamenco Festival this past weekend.
Held in the courtyard of Casa Vicente restaurant, 375 S. Stone Ave. the festival introduced and reacquainted attendees to contemporary flamenco. UA students shared the stage with and cheered on the festival’s featured flamenco artists.
Flamenco is a dance form that came from the Gypsies of Andalusia, Spain, and has spread and evolved throughout the world.
Casa Vicente Restaurant, the nonprofit organization Club España de Tucson and Flamenco del Pueblo Viejo organized the Tucson Spanish and Flamenco Festival.
