Eric Wagner and his son, Bruno, admire “”Pirate Ship”” at the annual Bicycle Inter-Community Action & Salvage annual art auction Sunday night. The piece, by artist Zach Lihatsh, is made entirely of used bicycle parts.Bike gurus and art aficionados clad in rolled-up cuffs and earth tones swarmed Area 51 art gallery to kick off the 12th annual BICAS fundraiser on Saturday night. The auction was BICAS’ largest fundraiser of the year, according to Wendy Vogt, a BICAS board member and a UA anthropology doctoral student.
