No. 4 Arizona MBB beat Cal by 23 points

Wildcats player Cedric Henderson Jr. (45) dribbled down the court on Feb. 2 at McKale Memorial Center. The Wildcats beat Oregon 76-91. 

The University of Arizona defeated University of California, Berkeley by a score of 85-62. The Wildcats move to 22-3 on the season and 11-3 in Pac-12 play.

This is Arizona’s sixth straight victory and second straight game winning by at least 20 points.

The star of the game was Azuolas Tubelis, who had his 11th double double of the season after scoring 23 points while adding 14 rebounds. In eight of his last 11 11 games, Tubelis has also had a double double. He finished the game 11-15 shooting the ball from the field.

Pelle Larsson had one of his most efficient games shooting the ball this season. He was 6-7 from the field while being 3-3 on three-point shots. He scored 16 points, the second most on the team.

As a team, The Wildcats shot it 51 percent from the field, 42 percent and 35 percent from the free throw line.

Kerr Kriisa had an interesting night as he went scoreless in the game, but he had eight assists and only one turnover.

Cedric Henderson Jr. had nearly a double double while scoring 11 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in this game. This was the second time in the past there games that he scored double digits.

Arizona out-rebounded Cal 46-30 wile having six players with at least two rebounds.

The Wildcats only have one day off before they head to Stanford, California. Arizona will play the Cardinal on Saturday at 6 p.m.
