Arizona will get one day of rest before they look to extend their season opening win streak to 15 games.
Saturday the Wildcats face Washington, which beat ASU Thursday night.
The Huskies (9-5, 1-0) beat the Sun Devils 76-65 in Tempe, Ariz.
“I would imagine based on Washington’s non conference season — they played some tough teams away from home — that they came into this conference season ready to prove something and they did that,” said Arizona head coach Sean Miller. “So we have to be ready to go here on Saturday.”
The Huskies led by as much as 24 points on Thursday.
“They know what they have to do: they have to win,” said Arizona junior guard Nick Johnson.
Saturday’s tip-off against Washington will be noon MST on the Pac-12 Networks, but the Wildcats aren’t worried about the quick turn around.
“Not at all, we’re basketball players,” Gordon said. “That’s what we do.”
Johnson agreed.
“We’re young kids,” Johnson said.
