The University of Arizona is expected to return to most courses being fully in-person for the fall 2021 semester, according to an email sent out by President Dr. Robert C. Robbins.
In the email to the UA community, Robbins said some courses will be offered with the flex in-person format, in addition to offering “select Live Online and iCourse options.”
“We are confident in this plan due to both the success of our Test, Trace and Treat approach to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on campus during the 2020-21 academic year, as well as our leadership as a high-capacity state vaccination site,” Robbins said in the email. “We expect that all faculty and staff who wish to be vaccinated will be able to do so this spring, and we are committed to ensuring that students can be vaccinated swiftly as soon as they are eligible.”
Robbins also said these plans are contingent on public health conditions, and the UA community will continue to receive updates if plans change ahead of the fall semester.
Registration for fall and summer classes will begin in early April.
