Former Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the No. 168th overall pick in the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Criner was the 33rd pick of the 5th round, and the Raiders’ fourth pick of the NFL Draft.
The wide receiver from Las Vegas, Nev., was the third at his position picked in the fifth round and the 21st wide receiver selected overall. California’s Marvin Jones was selected two picks ahead of Criner at No. 166 overall and Dallas selected Danny Coale of Virginia Tech at No. 152.
Criner joins offensive guard Tony Bergstrom from Utah, outside linebacker Miles Burris from San Diego State and defensive end Jack Crawford from Penn State as the current Oakland picks. The Raiders have two more picks scheduled for the NFL Draft, barring any trades.
Criner ran a 4.68 at the 40-yard dash and finished his senior season as Arizona’s record holder for receiving touchdowns with 32. He ranks No. 4 all-time at Arizona in both catches and receiving yards.
