With fall here, the Arizona Daily Wildcat thought it’s time to talk to female students at the UA and find out just what favorite acessories complete their outfits for this season.

Olivia Ruiz, a retail and consumer sciences sophomore, looked fashion-forward pairing a new, dark blue BCBG long-sleeved romper and black tones in her leggings, a combination that’s been very popular in fall 2012 runway shows. Her pristine black riding boots, with large silver button details purchased from Dillard’s completed her look.

“For fall, I am a big fan of the classic Blaire Waldorf headband,” Ruiz claimed. “And obviously scarves — big chunky sweater scarves I think are absolutely adorable.” She also mentioned that her favorite fall colors are the new and upcoming spring tones. “I love bright colors and now I can wear them all year,” she said. “It’s great.”

Mikala Teschke, a pre-neuroscience and cognitive science freshman, spotted wearing a classic blue blouse and black leggings combo, noted that her favorite accessory for fall are a very particular kind of scarves — triangle fringe scarves. She paired her outfit with great camel-hued Zigi Soho riding boots with a noticeable red-accented back zipper. Riding boots such as these are another great and noticeable trend for fall, and Teschke purchased hers from DSW. “For fall my go to outfit is usually leggings, boots and a sweatshirt,” Teschke said. “As far as colors go for fall, my favorite is probably black. I wear it all the time — I promise I’m not gothic.”

Jocelyn Caquias, a retail and consumer sciences senior, stood out in her fall-inspired Boho-chic style. She wore a pseudo-Native American print on a gauzy, high-waisted magenta maxi skirt with one of this seasons biggest trends — a classic denim jacket.

“My skirt is from Aeropostale,” Caquias said, “and the Levi’s jean jacket was actually a hand-me-down from my sister. I am all about shopping as cheap as possible.” Her thrifty ways are definitely noticeable in her easygoing wardrobe. Although, for fall, she also noted that she loves wearing a tall boot and boot sock combination. “Lately, I have really loved wearing purple, and I think its a great color for fall,” she added. This fashionista also loves bright colors and boots — she’s absolutely ready for the next cold front to hit Tucson.

Desiree Casillas, a business sophomore, is the sassiest little fashionista there is. Her big free spirit showed clearly in her outfit: trendy Cathy Jean strapped light brown leather boots, accented burgundy boot socks, a scarf that matched her accents and a black cardigan.

“I think for fall my favorite color would be cream, and pairing that with a bright colored scarf,” Casillas said. “Scarves are also my favorite accessory for fall, though I also really like cardigans.”
The most notable accessory she sported was her heart-shaped sunglasses from Amazon that added a certain amount of attitude to her attire.
