    Teach For America applications due Friday

    The deadline for students to apply for the 2006 Teach for America Corps is Friday.

    Currently corps members are being placed in 22 cities across the nation and most have received a multitude of outside scholarships, grants, stipends and signing bonuses through partnerships Teach For America has formed with top graduate schools and employers throughout the country.

    GPSC accepting nominations for awards

    The Graduate and Professional Student Council is accepting nominations for graduate students, faculty and staff who have made outstanding contributions to the campus and or to graduate student education.

    Students can nominate their peers, colleagues, students or instructors in categories including but not limited to administrator of the year, outstanding community service, outstanding faculty member or best master’s project.

    Nominees must be current UA graduate/professional students, faculty or staff members. Award recipients will be honored at a luncheon during Graduate and Professional Appreciation Week.
