Final: No. 10 Arizona handles Colorado 68-54

Behind a couple career nights, No. 10 Arizona men’s basketball (15-2, 3-1 Pac-12) won its first home game of the semester 68-54 against an under-manned Colorado squad.

The Buffaloes (9-7, 2-2) were missing starters Josh Scott and Xavier Johnson but Colorado guard Askia Booker scored 30 points, 22 more than any other Buffalo.

Forward Stanley Johnson scored a career-high 22 points, had three assists, two steals and eight rebounds. Guard Elliott Pitts scored a career-high 12 points; his season average going into Thursday was 3.7 points per game.

Arizona shot 42 percent from the field, 39 percent from three and 79 percent from the free throw line. Colorado shot 43 percent from the field, 39 percent from beyond the arc and 50 percent from the charity stripe.

UA center Kaleb Tarczewski scored 14 points, after scoring four points at Oregon State.

Game nuggets:

– UA guard Gabe York missed the game with an ankle sprain

- There were three ties and one lead change

- The Wildcats scored 16 points off of CU turnovers

- Arizona out-rebounded the Buffaloes 41-26
