100

Arizona reached the century mark for the third time this season and the first Nov. 12, 2017 when the Wildcats scored 103. That came against UMBC in the second regular season and UA also routed NAU 101-67 in the season opener on Nov. 10. It is the first time since the 2003-04 season that Arizona has scored 100-plus points in three or more games.

39-64

The Wildcats had a “can’t miss” attitude about them on Wednesday, sinking 39 of their 64 shots (61 percent). Along with that, UA hit 10 3-pointers against the Cougars with six of them coming in the first half to open up a 19-point lead at the break. Allonzo Trier and Rawle Alkins were both a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc.

38:20

Arizona almost went wire-to-wire against the Cougars. The Cougars had a brief lead in the opening minutes of the game but the Wildcats quickly asserted their dominance and led for a staggering 38:20 of the game. The second half was never really a contest as UA led by over 20 for most of the final frame and by 35 at one point in the second half.

19-20

The combined shooting effort of Deandre Ayton and Allonzo Trier proved to be a big mismatch that Washington State couldn’t handle. The duo combined for almost half of Arizona’s points with 49. Ayton saw plenty of lobs and open looks down low and punished the Cougars on 11-12 shooting. Trier was a sniper from outside and went 8-8 from the floor overall.

16

Rawle Alkins returned for the Wildcats and came off the bench against WSU after missing the last two games with right foot soreness. Alkins started out a bit rusty but found his confidence quite quickly and scored 16 points over 16 minutes of action.

52

The Wildcats scored 52 points in the paint compared to just 22 from Washington State. Arizona made 19 layups and slammed home six dunks.
