    3 things to know today

    ‘Grey’s’ writers to speak today

    Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, writers and co-executive producers of the hospital drama “”Grey’s Anatomy,”” will be at the College of Medicine’s Kiewit Auditorium from noon to 1 p.m. today to speak about their effort to make the medical aspects of the show accurate.

    Nominations are being taken through Feb. 15 for the Five Star Faculty Award, the only student-nominated and student-selected faculty honor at the UA. Visit honors.arizona.edu/secure/5star.asp to submit a nomination.

    Study music’s impact on the world

    Applications are being taken for 2008-2009 Fulbright-mtvU fellowships. Those selected will travel abroad for a full school year and study how music can facilitate understanding worldwide. Applications can be found at www.mtvu.com/uconnect/fulbright. The deadline is March 1.
