Today’s pick is brought to you by the letter ‘C.’ It’s the letter that’s a different color on the Bruins’ jerseys to celebrate UCLA being the first university to achieve 100 NCAA
Championships, as ‘C’ is the Roman numeral for 100. ‘C,’ as in “”celebrity Kevin Love,”” who can’t be contained in the paint. ‘C,’ as in “”can’t pronounce Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.”” ‘C,’ as in “”CBS will televise this catastrophe.”” ‘C,’ as in “”can’t wait for Oregon State next weekend.””

The Wildcats will need a strong team performance to take the load off Jerryd Bayless if they want to contend with scoring machine UCLA. The last time these two teams played, the Wildcats were dominated by the Bruins defense. Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook and
Darren Collison were unstoppable for the Bruins. But while the Wildcats would seem to have no chance on paper, anything can happen in this conference, so I’ll take the upset pick.

The minute Arizona released its 2007-2008 schedule, the Wildcats faithful circled March 2. It’s absolutely the biggest game – of all sports – to hit Tucson this season. Sunday’s special Senior Day atmosphere might even bring more emotion with the possibility of watching Jerryd Bayless and Chase Budinger play in an Arizona uniform for the last time. Add national television coverage to the mix, and the pressure succumbs a Nic Wise-less bunch. No love.
