Citation workshop
The library is offering three walk-in workshops this fall to introduce you to the basics of Ref Works. Ref Works is a citation organization and management tool that allows you to gather and organize your bibliographies and citations for a variety of projects within minutes. No reservations required. This workshop will be held in room A112 of the UA Main Library at 11 a.m.
Weekly writing workshop
Victoria Stefani of the Writing Skills Improvement Program will discuss “”Style: The Importance of Clarity.”” This lecture is part of a free semester-long series of workshops held every Monday. These workshops will be taking place in the Education building room 318 at 5 p.m.
Monday night film series
“”The Short Life of Jose Antonio Gutierrez”” is a film that tells the story of a one-time street kid from Guatemala, who headed north in hopes for a better future, only to become the first U.S. soldier killed in Iraq. He was one of about 32,000 green-card soldiers fighting in the U.S. armed forces. This film will be screened in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building in room S202 at 7 p.m.
