Trier missed the first 19 games of his sophomore season before averaging 17.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in Arizona’s final 12 conference games.
He was the Most Outstanding Player in the Pac-12 Tournament where he averaged 20.7 points per game sparking the Wildcats to a first-place finish.
Trier has decided not to test the NBA draft waters and is focused on helping Arizona reach their first Final Four since 1997.
“I have thought about it for a while, and I have decided to continue my education and basketball career at Arizona,” Trier told ESPN. “Because of my relationship and faith in Coach [Sean] Miller, the coaching staff and my teammates, I will continue my original goal when I came here — to help lead the team to a national championship.”
