If Wednesday’s 70-52 win against Washington at McKale Center is any indication, consider the Wildcats energy deficiency solved.

Kevin Parrom was inserted into the starting lineup for Brandon Ashley, and
although he didn’t contribute much on the stat sheet — zero points, five rebounds, two assists, two turnovers — but a scrap with 7-foot Washington center Aziz N’Diaye ignited the Wildcats to end the first half and for the near entirety of the second.

N’Diaye and Parrom were jostling for a rebound when N’Diaye launched Parrom, with a little bit of acting, into a row of photographers seated by the baseline. N’Diaye got a technical foul, Solomon Hill hit both free throws, and the Wildcats burst to its first dominant victory since USC a few weeks ago.

After the technical, Arizona outscored Washington 19-4 in the next six minutes, 18 seconds and 45-32 overall.

Hill led the Wildcats with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, six rebounds and two assists. Mark Lyons added 14 points (12 in the first half) before fouling out with 6:55 remaining.

Nick Johnson had his first double-digit scoring output since Jan. 31 at Washington, scoring 12 points onf 5-of-12 shooting, to go with five assists and four rebounds.
