    3 things to know today

    Help domestic violence victims

    The Graduate and Professional Student Council is hosting a clothing and cell phone drive for the Brewster Center for domestic violence services. You can donate used cell phones with chargers, new towels, washcloths, twin bed sheets, pillows and money. Items can be dropped off between noon and 4 p.m. through Thursday in the GPSC office, Student Union Memorial Center, Room 323.

    Blood drive

    The Spring Campus Blood Drive kicks off today at the UA Bookstore, UA Mall, Arizona Health Sciences Center and Campus Health Service at Highland Commons. Locations vary daily and are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday. Donors and volunteers will be given free T-shirts. To make an appointment, use the sponsor code “”wildcat”” at www.givelife.org.

    Winston Churchill Day

    Celebrate the day Winston Churchill became the first honorary U.S. citizen in 1963 under President John F. Kennedy. Churchill served as prime minister of Britain during World War II. In November 2002, he was voted the greatest Briton of all time.
