    Celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage month, a month full of great events about a culturally rich community and the critical issues of life on the border, with the invigorating sounds of Mariachi Serenata. Join in at the UA Mall at noon.

    Literary magazine seeking staff
    Looking to get involved in the literary community? Interested in publishing experience? Come and check out UA’s award-winning undergraduate literary magazine, Persona. The magazine is seeking enthusiastic, grammar-savvy undergraduates from all majors to join its submission staff. The meeting will be held in modern languages in room 451 at 6 p.m.

    Preservation lecture
    Davd Mehalic of the Coronado National Forest and the UA will discuss, “”Challenges of Historic Preservation Along the US-Mexico Boundary: Examples from Southeastern Arizona’s Sky Islands.”” This lecture will be held at the University Medical Center in the DuVal auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
