    Garlic: It wards off evil … and blood clots

    Crushing garlic before cooking forms a variety of healthful organosulfur compounds, according to a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Crushing garlic releases an enzyme, alliinase, that catalyzes the formation of allicin, which then forms the compounds, said researchers at Argentina’s Institute of Nutrition and Technology of Foods.

    The overexposed songstress reportedly checked herself out of rehab in Antigua this weekend so she could shave her head and get some new tattoos.
