The University of Colorado, Boulder, announced it will officially join its new conference in 2011 instead of 2012 as originally planned. The Buffaloes will leave the Big 12 Conference and join the University of Utah — out of the Mountain West Conference — in making the Pacific 10 Conference a 12 team league.
League officials are scheduled to meet in early October to discuss division alignment possibilities as well as the location of a conference title game.
