Arizona freshman Derrick Williams was one of 20 players named to the collegeinsider.com Freshman All-America team announced Tuesday.
Other standouts joining Williams on the collegeinsider.com team were DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall of Kentucky, Xavier Henry of Kansas and Avery Bradley of Texas.
Williams led the Wildcats with 15.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. The forward finished in double figures 28 times and had four double doubles in his freshman campaign.
He was also named to the first team all-Pacific 10 Conference team as well as the conference’s Freshman of the Year.
