FINAL: Arizona defeats Cal 73-50 to sweep Bay Area trip

Arizona men’s basketball beat California 73-50 on Saturday night to sweep the Bay Area schools on the road for the first time since 2012.

The No. 12 Wildcats (17-2, 6-1 Pac-12) won their fourth game in a row despite foul trouble from its starting center and power forward.

Center Kaleb Tarczewski had three fouls, 10 points and three rebounds. Forward Brandon Ashley fouled out with six points and two rebounds.

Arizona forward Stanley Johnson just missed a double-double, with 18 points and nine rebounds. Backup center Dusan Ristic scored 12 points and had two rebounds.

Arizona shot 49 percent from the field, 40 percent from behind the arc and 88 percent from the charity stripe. Cal (11-9, 1-6) shot 43 percent from the field, 25 percent from deep and 25 percent from the free throw line.

Arizona forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored nine points and had five rebounds.
