Valentine’s Party at Zoe aims to please both sexes

It’s a Valentine’s Day conundrum: planning a date night that appeases both sexes. Face it girls – the last thing your boyfriend wants to do is sit through some sappy love story. And guys? Watching the ball game at a bar is not exactly your girlfriend’s idea of romance.

Thankfully, Zoe Boutique has devised a solution with its pre-Valentine’s Day Party.

The event, which Zoe Boutique describes as “”For the Ladies and the Ladies Man,”” will showcase new jewelry, clothing and, just in time for Cupid’s holiday, lingerie.

The boutique posted a “”Valentine’s Day Wishlist”” inside the store for customers to list their gift requests – perfect for the stumped boyfriend. Zoe will also offer free gift wrapping for purchases made at the party, so guys won’t have to fumble with tissue paper and bows themselves.

“”Girls can come with their friends and buy stuff for themselves; and guys can come too,”” said store owner Lissa Marinaro. “”I think a lot of guys have trouble picking things out, or they wait to the last minute. We are pretty in touch with our customers, and we know what girls want. We just wanted them to feel comfortable,”” she said, explaining the guy-friendly nature of the party.

“”A group of guys can come and have a beer,”” she said, while their girlfriends can peruse Zoe’s lingerie collection. Cosabella, an Italian line of underwear known for its signature lacy thongs and bralettes in contrasting colors, is just one of the collections Zoe carries.

“”It’s stuff that every girl wants and needs and loves: like cute little panties, thongs, simple bras,”” Marinaro said.

What else does every girl want and need and love? Jewelry, of course. And Zoe has plenty: A wide range of Tara Tarantino’s collection will be available, with a special 10 percent discount for the event.

Local line Romeo & Jewelry offers more Valentine’s Day gift options with their eclectic line of jewelry designed by Christy Long. Long fashions one-of-a kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets from cigar caps and antique religious medallions.

Bird’s Nest, another Tucson-based line designed by Tasha Sabatino, is bringing in new inventory specifically for the event, along with other local clothing lines.
