    Post-9/11 workshop for international students on campus today

    There will be a workshop on campus today titled “”International Students on Campus Post-9/11.””

    The workshop will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Sabino Room on the third floor of the Student Union Memorial Center.

    The event is sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership. Students who complete seven workshops in an academic year can earn a Certificate of Leadership Enrichment, and students who attend 20 during three semesters can be recognized as Certified UA Student Leaders.

    Movie adapted from novel to be shown by Africana Studies

    Africana Studies’ Film Series will show “”The Harder They Come”” on campus tomorrow.

    The film is an adaptation of Michael Thelwell’s novel of the same title. It is a story about class resistance and one artist’s use of music to deconstruct the cultural and class politics of post-colonial Jamaica.

    The movie will be shown at 5 p.m. tomorrow in the CǸsar E. Chǭvez building, Room 111.

    A discussion will be moderated by an Africana studies faculty member.
