“Campus ‘Cats: Abby Countryman, English education senior”

What grade would you like to teach English to after graduation?

I would like to teach seventh grade English, because seventh graders are at the perfect age when they aren’t talking back yet.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

Don’t count your eggs before they hatch, because I tend to do that and it usually doesn’t work out for me.

What is one extravagance you could not live without?

My orchids. Orchids are plants that are very hard to grow in a desert climate. They typically live in tropical, humid climates.

Where in the world inspires you the most?

I love Florida, because it is the perfect temperature all year round. You can go to the beach. The duality of the nature there is very peaceful. It inspires me, because it reminds me that there are places in the world that are untouched by people.

Are you the center of attention or wallflower?

I tend to be a wallflower until I am needed, then I can be the center of attention.

Who would you most like to meet?

Will Smith, because he is my hero. I like all that he has done, from the show “”Fresh Prince”” to his next movie that is coming out, “”Seven Pounds.””
