It was almost déjà vu. Arizona recovered an onside kick with
1:00 left in the fourth quarter against USC on Saturday, and set up a 36-yard
field goal attempt for redshirt junior kicker Casey Skowron.
Seconds before the kick, for the second time, the Trojans
iced Skowron with a timeout. The attempt after the timeout was wide right and
the game was over.
The Arizona defense struggled mightily to stop the run, as
USC running back Javorius Allen rushed for a career-high 205 yards and three
touchdowns. According to a USC press release, Allen is the first USC player
with five 100-yard rushing games in a season since Reggie Bush and LenDale
White in 2005.
